This is my draft idea and my brainstorm outline. At the beginning, I decided to stick on the blue sky and white clouds as most of the area of my cover.

My idea was a Point Of View angle from the main character painting the blue sky. Unfortunately, it didn't went well as I thought.

I decided to leave about 1/3 blank to insert text. It looks more clean but at the same time not too simply. The picture is large and clear in order to get readers attention.
Instead, this a picture I found on the internet, I tried it in and it fit just well. Especially the colors and the fonts. This would be my first consider if nothing better is created.

This is a picture of me holding a paper plane. Also meaning freedom, wind, flying. I think that paper plane is closely linked to paper plane and also by using the blue sky as background, also express "wind rises".

This is a picture of a paper plane lying on the edge of a wall. I thought that planes that are on land also can express "wind rises". I also tried to change the color style to more darker color and it actually worked out good. But I think it kind of turned it into a more serious or acadamic style, instead of an animation.

Wind Chime is also closely linked to "wind rises", as it only works when a gust of wind blows by. So I thought this might also be a good way to express the rising of wind.

(Final design)
Upon all the drafts and prototype, this is what I finally decided to be my project. My idea was brainstorming things that are related to "wind rising" could be the main object of my cover. Wind chime is closely linked to wind and it is also a different theme and color.
The original cover was mostly blue and white, not much green or warm colors. I tried green and slightly some red color, because I think that the cooling breeze of the wind blowing through forests, bushes, and the Sakura trees is also linked to "Wind Rising." Showing that wind not only just appears in the sky but also on land.
